Cookie Usage & Opt-Out Options

Nothing beyond the required items is stored until you agree to it. Rejecting the optional categories has no effect on what you can read or on the contact form. You can change your answer later from the preferences panel, or by clearing this site's data in your browser so that the banner asks again.

What the required items hold

The functionality item stores your answer to the cookie banner; the security item helps the contact form turn away automated submissions. Neither holds your name, the name of your business or the content of a message.

If you allow analytics

Analytics storage gives us totals: how many visitors compare the three formats on the offers page, and whether the comparison page is read before or after it. We use these figures once or twice a year when revising the pages. We do not look at individual visits.

Advertising categories

The advertising categories would tell us only whether an advertisement brought a visitor to the site. We do not use them to follow visitors elsewhere, and the information is not sold or shared with other advertisers.

A note on retention

Your banner choice is remembered for twelve months. After that you are asked again, so that a decision made once does not silently carry on indefinitely.

Shared computers

If you read this site on a computer shared with colleagues, any choice you make in the banner stays in that browser for the next person. Clearing the site's data from the browser settings removes it along with anything else stored.

How to check

The site settings menu beside the address bar shows the cookies and storage this site has set. With the defaults you should find only the consent record and the security item.

No third-party content

The site does not embed maps, videos or social media buttons, so no other company places cookies through our pages. If we add something of that kind — for example a booking calendar for advisory hours — this page will be updated before it appears on the site.

Why so little is stored

Most people who find us are owners or managers deciding whether an outside view is worth an afternoon. They need to read what each format involves and what it costs; they do not need accounts, baskets or tracking. The site is built so that it works fully with nothing optional switched on.

Future changes

If we add a feature that needs a new kind of storage, it will be described here first and the banner will ask again rather than rely on your earlier answer.

Where the controls are

On your first visit the banner offers Manage, Reject all and Accept all. Manage opens a panel with a switch for each category; the required items are shown switched on and cannot be changed.
